Food, Food, Food

They have amazing food, but weird. Everything is so delicious. I love eating so I literally ate everything. Just kidding.

Rafting on the Rio Coyolate

White water rafting was super fun. Even if I did get drenched head to toe. It was refreshing how the water would splash in your face but you were going to fast to care. The ex celebrating excitement of rushing down a river was beyond amazing.

The Cultural side of Antigua

Antigua was amazing. It was bursting with culture. The city had beautiful cobblestone streets and monasteries.  We saw many cathedrals and churches. Even though Antigua was filled with culture it still had the most amazing beaches. The ocean was so refreshing plus the sand was actually white, like pearls.

Splash!!!

Oh my goodness. Xocomil water work was a blast. The slides were so fast I almost wanted to barf, but of course I didn't. The feeling of the sun shining and a dip in the pool was super relaxing. Of course splashing Kristyn  in the face was super funny. She hates it of course. It was a full on water splashing battle. We were acting like little kids.

The Gift of the Sun

Pacaya Mountain was amazing. I mean sure, I hated the hike. Oh, but the view. It was gorgeous. The slowly dripping lava was blazing. IT was like a gift from the sun. Even though it was tortuous at first in the end it was worth it.

Shopping Time

It was fun to see what modern shop they had here in Guatemala. Although it hard to understand some of the words the salesperson were saying. I loved this shop called Nine West  They had this amazing shoes. They were these cute ballet that were $79.00.  They were a total bargain in my opinion

Atitlan Lake, A paradise

The view over Atitlan Lake was beautiful. You should have seen it, the water glistening, the air crisp. Beautiful paradise. The water so blue and the grass so green. It was like a perfect world. Lake Atitlan is considered to be one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. I totally agree. Also the food here though is so much different from the food in Texas. Still good though. You have to try the Guatemala Icebox Cookies. They are delicious.

Chichicastenango Market

Hola chicos and chicas, today I went to the Chichicastenango Market. It was muy fun. I saw so many hand- made crafts.Except these weren't kindergarten crafts. They were beautiful professional looking crafts. I saw many beautiful fabrics that I so wanted to buy, but what that would be silly, I don’t even know how to sew!=)
